Not medical advice
Supplement Scholar provides general educational information about dietary supplements, nutrients and related compounds. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, pharmacist, registered dietitian or other qualified professional. Do not start, stop or change any supplement or medication based on this site alone, especially if you are pregnant or nursing, under 18, have a medical condition, or take prescription medication. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911.

Accuracy
We work to keep profiles accurate and linked to published research, but science changes and errors happen. Information is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Evidence grades are our summary of published studies, not guarantees of results. Please report errors through the Contact page.
Tools such as the Stack checker and Ask
The Stack checker, Compare and Ask tools only reflect what is written in our profiles. They can miss interactions and are not a substitute for a pharmacist reviewing your full list of medications and supplements.
Research compounds and prescription drugs
Pages about peptides, research compounds and prescription drugs are educational summaries of published research. They are not recommendations to obtain or use these substances. Many are not approved for human use, and some are prescription-only or restricted. We do not sell them or link to sellers. Harm-reduction pages do not endorse alcohol or illegal drug use.
Affiliate links
Some links are affiliate links, which may earn us a commission if you buy something, at no extra cost to you. We don't sell products, and purchases are between you and the retailer. See Disclosures.
Accounts and community posts
You must be at least 18 to create an account. You are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything unlawful, harassing, misleading, spammy or promotional, other people's private information, or medical claims presented as fact. Community posts are personal experiences, not advice, and do not reflect our views.
You keep ownership of your posts, and you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display them on the site. We may remove posts or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Our content
The site's text, design and code are owned by Supplement Scholar unless noted. You may share links and short quotes with attribution. Copying substantial parts of the site requires our permission. Chemical structures are drawn from public PubChem data, and product and brand names belong to their owners and are used only to identify those products.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice through the Contact page that identifies the work, the location of the material on our site, your contact details, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner, and your physical or electronic signature. We will respond promptly and remove infringing material.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Supplement Scholar and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, or for any harm resulting from your use of the site or reliance on its information, including decisions about supplements or medications. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed $100.
Links to other sites
We link to studies, retailers and other sites we do not control and are not responsible for their content, products or practices.
Governing law and changes
