Experimental peptide designed to make senescent ("zombie") cells self-destruct by blocking FOXO4 from binding p53.
What it is
A D-retro-inverso peptide first reported in 2017. In aged and chemotherapy-treated mice it cleared senescent cells and improved fur density, fitness and kidney function. There are no published human trials.

Blocks the FOXO4–p53 interaction inside senescent cells, freeing p53 to trigger apoptosis in those cells while largely sparing healthy ones.
